Application Type and Progress

On the Manage Applications page, there is a column indicating the current application type. Additionally, the progress of each application is shown to facilitate the next steps in verification or outreach, ensuring timely updates.

Progress Calculation:

• Progress is indicated as either complete or incomplete.
• An application is complete if all required fields, including addendum questions, are filled out.
• Progress is recalculated at various touchpoints:
  • When creating or editing a waiting list where the application type is changed.
  • When adding or removing addendum questions.
  • When creating or updating an application.
• Note: Any change to existing application questions (beyond addendum questions) triggers a system-wide recalculation of progress.

Updating Application Type:

• To request a full application from the applicant family, there are two methods: single update or bulk update.
• During the update process, you can choose to send an alert notifying the applicant that a full application is requested.
  • Single Update: Click on the applicant's application type and choose whether to alert the applicant or not. If they opt into SMS, they will receive both an email and SMS alert; otherwise, they will receive an email only.
  • Bulk Update: Select the checkbox to the left of each applicant you want to invite to fill out the full application. Then, click on the bulk action dropdown and choose "Change Application Type."

Filtering Applications:

• To filter by application type and progress, click on "More Filters" and select the application type you would like to filter.

Additional Information:

• Alerts are only sent when the application type is updated from pre-application to full application.
• For bulk updates, all applications must have the same starting application type.
• If the default application type for a waiting list is set to Full Application, the "Update Application Type" option will not be available in Manage Applications.
